I wonder if people try and do the Xmas/Cman's birthday combo, ya know where they celebrate both at the same time thereby screwing you out of extra gifts.

my cousin-in-law got married shortly before I did. Here is my best recollection of an excerpt of her wedding card to us (complete with cheap monetary gift), which also happened to be her thank-you card.

"Thank you so much for your wedding gift to us! Now it is our turn to help you at your wedding. Good luck in the future."

or something like.

no one said I married into a classy family. If it weren't for the fact that my wife is a twin, I'd swear she was adopted.

Not that I ever expected anyone to actually READ one of my posts, but it was our WEDDING card that she gave us for our WEDDING on the day of our WEDDING that had our cheap WEDDING gift in it. She dubbed it as a thank you card for her wedding.

She sent us a xmas card, but didn't attach enough postage, so I refused to make up the difference and sent it back.

Actually, I'm just kidding about that last part.

My wife's twin has an idiot for a boyfriend. their birthday is late November and he's combined her bday and xmas present for 2 years in a row now. Each time it's a plane ticket to come visit him during spring break. He's such an unoriginal piece of shit... and that's such a self-serving gift. He didn't even send her a card in the mail... but he did send her 4 E-cards because he felt guilty that he's such a schmuck.

You know, I'll never understand women who let their men treat them like shit. I know if I pulled that kind of gear, I'd have my balls cut right off by bondigirl.

Bondigirl's sister is in the same boat. Her BF talks to her liek crap, buys shit gifts, has not one romantic bone in his body and is an out and out arsehole... but she sticks with him!

Now on to more pressing matters, is your wife's twin identical? (you probably told me already but good chances I was drunk or high)

You know, it's not the gift so much as the though ya put into it. he's a selfish prick who uses the excuse that he's not good at giving gifts so he just doesn't get anything. That's bullshit. He's never called my wife to see what his girlfriend might want or could use or anything like that (what better resource for a bad gift-giver than your girlfriend's twin fucking sister???) He doesn't even try. It pisses me off! He doesn't do a damn thing that makes her feel special.

But on the bright side, guys like him make guys like me look good. :)

Identical, mirror image... meaning they're even bigger freaks of nature than your average twin. My wife is left-handed and her twin is right-handed. My wife's hair parts on the left side of her head, her twin's on the right. My wife like's to be on top, her twin likes it doggie style.
