Was finishing where you left off liked the way it started just not the finish.

so you'd rather finish with ME?
sure I'm flattered, maybe even a little curious, but you're just not my type.

sadly yes, I have gotten attached to someone online. I am rather fond of someone right now as a matter of fact. It doesn't seem to matter where I meet guys, I always end up broken hearted.

...does this have anything to do with the conversation we were having the other night?

hmmm...
oh, and by the way, you shouldn't get attached to me sweetheart., your husband wouldn't approve :P

I'm trying not too :P No nothing about the other night I have always wonder how others felt about the topic last night it was so dead in here figured I would ask to give something to talk about.

I know if I were single again I would probably try like the match. sites or something I dunno. I dont see meeting a long term relationship at a bar or anything I mean thats good if you are just wanting some sex but not a lot of places to meet people these days seems like everyone is on the net now.

I really like some ladies ive met on this forum. As long as it stays fun and games thats fine. I will not allow any kind of online friendship to get to the point of ruining my real life relationship.most people here have someone special in their life,I would not want to hurt the other persons relationship either.I think maybe people let things get to serious and this is a mistake.keep it simple people, dont ruin your real life because of a fantasy relationship. This is just my opinion, doesnt mean shit to anyone but myself.

Yes I agree people can take things way to serious and not know things just may be fun and games.

I've chatted with girls online in the past, but never got overly attached. Just cuz I know someone online doesn't mean I know them at all in real life.Even had some crazy girl from way out east who was going to come out and visit me about 8 years ago but I managed to convinve her not to. She had some "issues" that I wanted no part of. I still have a few people I still chat with that I met online 10 years ago, but I've never wanted it to move beyond the friendship stage. I've seen too many people get burned by so called sure thing internet romances.

Slightly off topic, but why would you want to base a relationship on lies and deceit? Second question: have you ever lied to make a relationship go furher?

Personally, I have never lied (at least not that I know of (I did get pretty drunk the other night) ) or decieved anyone. For the second: why try to force something that wasn't meant to be???

Back on topic, I have become attached to someone online before. Matter of fact, I'm still very much attached to her - and she to me.

In a way I feel kinda akward about it; we didn't start out with any kind of romantic feeling towards each other, but she was 15 when I met her, and I've got 5 years on her. Now, 3 years later, we've gone from being very close friends, to being as close to in a relationship as we can get without having met. We send each other letters, we talk on the phone... it's both beautiful and creepy, all at the same time.

Fate would have it that we can't meet each other just yet, or contact each other for a little while, as she's since moved half the world away (as opposed to just a quarter of it) for her studies. But I have hope, and maybe yet things will work out between us.

Some people tell me perhaps I should find a girl I like over here, since it's easier. Well, I have found girls over here I like; finding ones that lke me is the problem.

and to be honest .. yea I have gotten attached as well. Thats the trouble with the Net. You meet these really cool people and they tend to live a bit of a ways away. gets hard to meet them without means and logistics coming into play. Dammit !!! :D

and we've loved every minute of it, but I haven't got too attached.
(btw if you hear someone creeping around outside your bedroom window, just ignore it as it is probably just the wind  )

You know I Will never get this, the internet has taught me a lot of things, when I first joined a message board I was who I am no fake life no alter ego whatever I assumed everyone else was the same way. Yes I am naive and always will be when it comes to trusting people. Only a few times have I been like OK this bitch is totally lying, but anyway man was it a shocker when I found out how sick people truly are and vile and disgusting. I dont understand why people feel the need to make up all sorts of stuff in there life online I am sure if in a thearpy session with them I can get to the root of it but I still dont get it. Be who you are dont try to sugar coat things or embelish or make up things see a shirnk for all that not the internet.
