honestly diane? yes...i have....very many times and every one of them almost has ended in heartache
actually gotten attached to one or two off of this very site
Really?? I dunno I find it harder not to get attatched to someone online than real life maybe I think cause most of the "relationship" online is all communication. That can bond people quick. I have gotten conned a few times by people online. Conned as in I cared about them as a person talked to them on the phone cried for them worried about them "all as a friend" and there whole life ended up being fake.
damnit j...why must you think everythings about you? i do like other people too you know! i told you! it was one night and i was drunk! it didnt mean that much! let it go!!

I know I'm new around here, but I guess this is as good a place to make a first post as any. well, I've been trolling for a short while and "feeling" out the site.
it's really easy to become attached to someone online because it's a place where all the usual hangups get left at the door, so to speak. for example, when you meet someone offline, your ego gets in the way and you may feel uncomfortable saying what you want to say. in other words, the anonymity of the internet makes it easier to put on airs or leave behind inhibitions that normally preclude a quick emotional attachment to someone "in the real world." I also feel that sometimes, people who are craving emotional attachment are more ready to accept people for who they say they are (again, the anonymity of the internet makes this easier to facilitate).
as naraz (and many others -- not just on this site) has found, not everyone is who they say they are.
and to answer your question, yes. I've gotten attached to someone I've met online. I'm a pisces. it's in the blood to become attached
Attached to? Do you mean like surgically or is handcuffed to enough?
And yes, I have met a few women that a relationship developed with via the internet. In my own personal experience I've had about the same success rate from the internet as I have from the bar/club. I don't think it matters where you meet so long as you meet. (whole lots of philosophical stuff here)

I really like some ladies ive met on this forum. As long as it stays fun and games thats fine. I will not allow any kind of online friendship to get to the point of ruining my real life relationship.most people here have someone special in their life,I would not want to hurt the other persons relationship either.I think maybe people let things get to serious and this is a mistake.keep it simple people, dont ruin your real life because of a fantasy relationship. This is just my opinion, doesnt mean shit to anyone but myself.
sadly yes, I have gotten attached to someone online. I am rather fond of someone right now as a matter of fact. It doesn't seem to matter where I meet guys, I always end up broken hearted.
...does this have anything to do with the conversation we were having the other night?
hmmm...
oh, and by the way, you shouldn't get attached to me sweetheart., your husband wouldn't approve
