I can't spot that quote but I like the theme!
I am at work as we speak drinkiung a big ass rye n coke. Whisky n coke for non Canadians.

Anyway I'm on holidays next week, then back to work for a week, then another week off.

I'm spending the first week at home, which I haven't done in a long time, but I am liking the idea. Ever since we moved to the new house there is a bunch of stuff I just never had time to get done around the homestead, so I plan to tackle it next week. Oh yeah, and get toasted....nicely toasted

Then the second week of holidays it's camping and jet skiing and A LOT of beer drinking. I brewed 12 dozen beer for the occasion. I hope it will be enough!

That is all.

Sounds like a sweet two weeks off mate... no doubt you'll be spending some time with the little one?

Why is it that Canadians call Whiskey... Rye??? I am just starting to appreciate Whiskey. i guess my taste's are changing. I don't like Islay whiskies, too much peat. I have been drinking Glenfiddich Solera or the 18yr old

fo sho! he's been at his aunt and uncle's all week and comes home tonight..shall be fun!

I think we call it rye cuz up here it is made with the grain rye.
Most Canadians, well males anyway, drink a lot of canadian whisky.
My favorite is Crown Royal. Real smooth stuff. People who are used to US bourbon or the like may not care for it, but besides beer, it is easily my fav drink.

Yeah I am always interested in local tastes... how they can differ so much from place to place. We don't get Crown Royal down here (that I know of) but we do get Canadian Club. I am not a big bourbon drinker. You know there's some stuff you can drink all night, get loaded but you still have some sort of stability about you, and there's other stuff if you drink it, it fucks you up? Bourbon fucks me up for whatever reason

A week off? Man, I'm always happy to get two days off in a row. Which I have this weekend. Big pool party Saturday and probably recovery on the beach on Sunday.
