Well, you can, but you need to make sure you're alive before you kill her.

quantum foam can be tricky like that.

Ok,

So I was eating some lunch the other day in a mall foodcourt type set up and sitting near me were a bunch of younger girls, I'd guess between 14-16.

Anyway I was eating alone and I happened to hear their conversation which turned to the subject of ipods. One girl says, " Don't you think the OLD ipods are so big and ugly? I am glad I have a new one." to which all the group agreed!!!

Part of me felt like standing up and yelling at them,

"fuck you little girls! There is no such thing as an OLD ipod, they are all fucking new! You have never had to experience lugging around a 3kg walkman to listen to some tunes or even a discman the size of a small frisbee to keep up to date with the latest music. So shut the fuck up and enjoy what you have, you spoilt little fucks!"

pfft! disc man? Walk man?? those were technology breakthroughs. I remember having to carry a huge fucking boom box (ghetto blaster) on my shoulder that was heavy enough without the 6 D-cell batteries necessary to make the fucker tick.

My first disc man, which was the first CD play in the house, I got my freshman year of high school. I got it cuz I sold the most candy in our fundraising drive for band. I sold candy like crazy cuz I wanted that thing so bad. I brought 3 boxes of candy to a wedding and sold a shit ton of it there. it was a $250 disc man and it was before anti-skip technology even came to anybody's mind... that came out my freshman year of college.

Christof, great burn.

And bondi, if I was at the mall and saw a whole bunch of 14-16 year old girls, I'd be offering to buy them new Ipods just to... I've said too much

a friend of mine had a discman his brother gave him at about the same time. The thing was about the size of a small dvd player(not the portable kind) and it had no antiskip of course. You basically had to set it down to listen to it. If you walked at any kind of a normal pace or tried usingthe thing in the car the damn thing would skip. Portable electronics my ass!

and the key is to only "offer" to buy the ipods.

Gnapp and Bob I remember those days. I had a kick arse walkman that had a graphic equaliser and all the add ons and it was small by standards but i found it the other day and it is fucking huge!

I also remember the days of the boom box etc, good times!

These kids will never know the joy of making a mixed tape!

Bob, I may just have to borrow your idea! :P

When I go out to bars and clubs etc I have to pay unless I know people behind the bar and then if their bosses arent looking they may swing some freebies bondi's way...

most - all alcohol I drink at home is free, free, free!
