You know, on a serious note, that picture isn't a race or any sort of sponsored run; that's just an average day. During daylight hours, there are that many people running on the Boulevard, which is 3.5 miles long. Portland has a lot of runners and this is the best place to run because it's a clay path. No traffic, no potholes, no puddles, great view and your knees don't get pounded to shit because it's clay. I've ran this path over 3000 times (literally) and I still enjoy going out on it. How many places can you say that about?
Point taken, I guess I,m lucky, I live 200yds from the Beach, and ,in the opposite direction ,100yds from open countryside.
