But I read a book called The Rough Guide to Conspiracy Theories .
It's a level headed look at dozens of conspiracy theories throughout recorded history. The authors always remain unbiased and never decide one way or the other with a few exceptions that were found to be true(some of the Castro stuff etc.) They present the info and let you decide or research further. Many are laughable, some are outlandish, and some are downright scary in their implications. In the end many people are gonna believe what they want to believe regardless of a silly thing called facts and evidence, but this book is worth a read.

Also, I just watched this. Still don't know what to think of the whole 911 fiasco, but this is certainly compelling stuff.

That is all.

I gotta buy that book... I find conspiracy theories fascinating!

Oh and I dont believe the 911 ones at all... they are very flawed!

do you mean you DON'T believe the 911 conspiracy theories, or you don't believe what the gov't tels you. There is some good stuff in the book on it.
I think a lot of 911 conspiracy theories are heavily biased but the video I linked to above is pretty impartial(I think anyway). The guy is just addressing the collapse of the buildings and how improbable it was. I haven't seen or read as compelling of evidence arguing the opposite, but I'm not a structural engineer either so who knows.

Is that guarantee not a guarantee?

I DONT believe it was a conspiracy! The video eveidence is all they rely on and it is sketchy at best. Words like improbable prove my theory. Was it probable that anyone ever thought that passenger jets would fly at speed into these buildings when they built them?

I am sure the US gov't is a corrupt organisation but no one is that irresponsible

well you'd be surprised how irresponsible the US(and other countries') governments are. There is stuff in the book, not heresay but a lot of declassified info that you'll be shocked to find out. I can't remember a lot of it, but for instance, nazi chemical and bio warfare scientists were kept from prosecution after the war and employed by the US government's own chemical warfare departments. There's plenty more irrefutable (more or less) info that will make anything seem possible. I'm not saying the government pulled off 911 but I don't think they did much to stop it.
Now read the damn book.

I love a good Con Theory but too many times wacko's get a hold of them and turn what is feasible into complete and utter bullshit

I can't believe it is approaching a year since the last post in this topic! We have had a bunch of new members since then so I wanted to revive it to hear some theories from the newer members.

Here's another to kick it off:

At the moment Sydney is in the gripe of the epidemic that is Equine Influenza, or in lamen's terms... Horse Flu. Doesn't sound like that big of a deal but it is crippling the racing industry heading into the busiest time of the year for them, Springtime.

Anyway the epicentre of the outbreak is at Randwick Racecourse, which coincidentally is the proposed sight for the Christian World Youth Day next year. The racing industry does not want the site to be used for the festival as it will call to a halt racing and it has been a big argument for a few months here. As a conspiracy theory I "believe" the Catholic Church has infected the horses as a payback to the AJC (owners of the racecourse) for not allowing them to use their site.

I've watched the Loose Change 9/11 video a while back and it had some interesting points, but some of it was too far fetched.

One thing that really struck me in the vid, and something that I brought up the day I saw the towers fell was that, how the hell can a tower who got hit w/ a plane drop so damn fast? It was like it disintegrated into dust as it was falling. A melting steel inner structure wouldn't cause the building to do that. In the video they say the building fell at nearly free fall speeds, which I find very odd. I do believe there were explosives in the building that aided the fall of the building.

Last year on 9/11 MSNBC played the entire 9/11/2001 coverage from like 8am until 11am, so if you turned on the TV you thought it was live coverage and they had the Firemen on there that said that it sounded like bombs going off inside, which struck me considering I had just see the loose change 9/11.

The missile regarding the pentagon is also interesting considering the plane parts outside the pentagon weren't the right parts at all. My brother in law is an ex aviation mechanic and he said that immediately after the photos were posted the days following 9/11, how the engine in the picture didn't even go w/ that particular plane.

I don't take the loose change 9/11 to heart, but I do believe that they brought up a lot of interesting points.

Any one done any research on the links between Freemasons and the founding of the United States? I watched a History channel show about it one time and it was really spooky/awesome.

Something just occurred to me....

On Aug. 30th we had the B-52 nuke incident, no one knows for sure if there were 5 or 6 nukes yet.

COME ON, THERE IS NO WAY THAT THIS IS ALL FOR SOME GUY!!

They even have GOOGLE searching for the guy FROM SPACE!!

Mark my words.... THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A MISSING NUKE.

This Fossett guy is ONLY missing because they needed a cover story... they had to find a way to explain all of the military planes that were going to be flying around over Nevada.

They needed a good excuse and VOILA... Fossett provided it!!

As soon as they locate the nuke, they will produce the set up "crash" scene!

Right now that man is in a bunker somewhere with his plane hidden inside or underneath of a mountain being held in safe keeping away from public eyes until they find what they are really looking for......... A MISSING 150 KILOTON NUCLEAR WEAPON!!

and then they will take him out to some remote location and set up the "crash" scene.... or, there is a chance that Fossett is in on this whole thing and that he volunteered to "disappear" for a few days into some government bunker so that he could play a part in saving the country from being nuked.

In which case he will show up in a week or two with some heroic story of survival and everyone will be amazed that he made it.

I don't know why it took me so long to get this one but...

they are DEFINITELY NOT looking for a missing man using ALL of these military resources and EVEN going as far as to have satellites searching FROM SPACE....

THEY ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH MATTERS OF NATIONAL SECURITY.... mark my words.
