Hey, that's cool. I was just razzing you a little bit. I do the same thing and I don't ever work the graveyard shift.

I have met a few girls in the graveyard, though. Wish they weren't always so cold.

i always thought that it was cuz of that gene simmons album cover. then agen its not something i've read into, nor something i plan on reading into.

i'm not a fan of the devil horns i've always seen it as a bit cheesy. cept at a slipknot gig. i'll knock out a few devil horns for them nails bastards. god i love slipknot live. any other band i see and its a raised fist that will generally just do it for me. maybe i'll throw a few shapes as well in the pit. who knows. depends on the band.

are there many fans of metal on here? i have to say i'm not really a fan of old metal like maiden and shit like that. cant be doing with it to be honest. give me some of that new age hardcore/metalcore anyday :2thumbsup:

It's a common misconception that RJD's grannie invented the devilhorns as a response to an ancient Italian curse. In actuality, she had arthritis and could only raise her index and pinkie fingers.

And thus, a metalhead tradition was born.

You keep asking if anyone's a metal fan, but what's your definition of metal? Personally, I love bands like Danzig (and all his start up bands like the Misfits and Samhain), Megadeth, Rammstein, Slayer, Metallica, Body Count, Anthrax, Fear Factory, and on and on into the sunset the list goes.

Great articles, lickin..., I'm glad they mention the ALS (short cut) sign for I love (or like) you. I learned a we bit of ALS when I was in college...I don't remember the whole alphabet, but I do remember that one. It is usually done in sort of a sweeping motion (but not always) where one puts one's fingers in the described position and then uses them to point at the person one is talking to and (sort of) sweep them toward you as you point back at yourself. As it said in the article, the pinkie is the ALS letter "I" and the index and thumb extended is the letter "L." The "you" left as an understood part of the gesture or is indicated by the sweep of the hand back toward yourself. In the picture that Bobo linked to of AF's son, the sigh he is making reminds me of the ALS sign.
