QUOTE(Gnappster)
I hear ya!
As a rule I don't particularly like tattoos or even piercings on girls(even ears, I know I'm a weirdo) UNLESS she's a rocker/punk type girl. Then it drives me wild!

I always wondered why girls liked guys in bands so much. Then I watched a White Stripes dvd and saw Meg White performing and then I knew why.

I hear ya re Meg White.... ppl like musicians (Why do u think I play the guitar! haha)

For me, a girl can be like average, but then she sings or plays rock and roll and I go wild.

I don't really think we have that much of an accent unless you go to the east coast and then we're the sea dwelling redneck equivilant of u.s. southerners. lol

but you would sound totally different to me should we say the same sentence. It may not be much of a difference to an American, but an Aussie would spot it a mile away!

I suppose.
I think if someone heard me they would think I am from North America somewhere. A few can tell I'm Canadian. One bartender in Vegas could...or maybe it was cuz I asked if he could give me 2 loonies for my toonie.

I can usually spot the difference. I hear a lot of American accents due to high tourist numbers but not as many Canadians, so i can usually spot them out of the two

Most americans have more of a drawl, even if you go just over the border 2 hours away.

We say mum, they say mawm.
We say pasta, they say pawsta.
We say dumbass, they say Mr. President. ;)

I don't say mum and I certainly don't say Pawsta. I'll have free international calling when I soon get my home phone. I'll call ya one day and we'll see if we sound like we would expect.
