QUOTE(closeup)
I can usually follow along pretty good, even when a topic/post gets obscure. But I read that post two or three times, and was still scratching my head. AND, I was completely sober! But, now that I think of it, Cutie Pie/Diane had quite a few conundrums scattered throughout her posting career. I hardly ever could figure out what the fuck she was talking about. I withdraw my nomination. :P

I thought you were a fairly smart dude. What's not to get about his post.
The post would have never existed if he didn't have to explain the joke to Lynette. Not saying it was a great joke but that's beside the point. It looked pretty obvious to me, but I'm just....one man.

Lynette said OK, which seemed out of nowhere, so I posted the scratching head smilie. then lynette explained it, and I followed it with a OK of my own, to which jrock posted the scratching head smilie:
OK :huh: OK :huh:
Idunno why I am going to the trouble of all this but I am a hard worker when it is pointless.

simliar to these(what comes next):

I got it before jork's explanation which is probably why I got his explanation when I read it the first time. I don't find it hard to believe that closeup 1-8 can easily get confused. I just thought I'd show a little support by slapping up a good Ghostbusters quote.

Spotted Gnappy. I wish I could make a difference, but I'm just one man.

And I know the answer to your puzzle, but I will not write it here in case someone else wants to try to figure it out. I've taken those mensa things online before. It's funny, every time I've taken them, they tell me I fit the criteria... but I bet I'd get blown away if I took a real test.

I was trying to figure out where that quote was from...haven't seen that movie in a loooong time.

I was thinking about trying to get into Mensa too, but I figured why would I join a group where I feel like one of the dumb ones. I was in an IQ club once but got kicked out for my political views. Also I was stealing projectors.

NOW I get it. It was probably the colander wrapped in tin foil that that I wear on my head that kept interfering with my brain waves. I think my neighbors are trying to read my mind and steal my thoughts I took the Mensa tests, but when I filled out the application, I spelt my name wrong and forgot to put on a stamp.

He's a distant relative, like a fourth cousin by marriage. I can't be held responsible.

Yeah, the marriage of you and your cousin, making closeup9 your grandchild. You'd better whip that little whippersnapper into shape.

You seem to be suspiciously knowledgable about family trees with only one branch. Did the genealogist only charge you half-price to do yours?
