You're right, there are exceptions to the rule. Not that baseball isn't hard, it's extremely difficult to hit a ball going 95mph. But learning the game is relatively easy. Not with football. Some sports need lots of brains some need lots of strenghth and agility, football needs it all. Same with basketball. You'd think that if by some freak of nature some guy grew to nine feet tall, he'd excell at basketball. But probably not. A few receivers were sprinters in school, you can't teach raw speed. But they still have to have the skills to get open and catch the ball. Which very few of them have. I think you can be a lucky no-talent and still make millions acting in movies, but luck has very little to do with pro sports.

If it weren't for the occasional pic like the one attached to this post, I would ignore this thread completely.
) I remember a couple years ago Brock Lesner tried out for the Vikings(I think). Now for those who don't know, Lesner was a pro wrestler, which doesn't say much. But before that he excelld at the national level in amateur wrestling. This guy is about 6'4" and 295 pounds. And is an amazing athlete. Extremely strong, agile, fast. Anyway, he barely made the practice squad. It was just too hard to learn the game at that level. Yes he was probably as athletic as the guys he was competing against but they had many years practice on him.
