I saw them fucking ages ago now that I think of it.
It was January 2001 or 2002? That song Du Haste was the big song of the evening. I didn't know a fucking word they were saying but their energy kicked arse!!!
They still kick arse You can see that on their live dvd Völkerball, it´s from the Ahoi! tour 2005. I didn´t knew them before summer 2005 which is bad because they have been here twice before And Du Hast is still a very good song
I love living in Australia because we are so secluded from the rest of the world, it makes it so beautiful.... but on occasion I do have to miss out on shit like not getting every band to tour Aus.
They usually only come down for like 3 day promo tours, appear on our talk shows, play industry gigs for music execs, plug their new album and fuck off back home!
with a lot of the current crop of "music" these days, it's probably a good thing
good playlist, but I've never heard of Oomph before.

I fucking love Rammstein!
I saw them at this festival called the Big Day Out a few years back. They had amazing pyro! Flame throwers, they set their mike stands and themselves on fire... truly incredible! And the music is fucking powerful!
In a weird coincidence, when I saw the other band on summ's playlist, Greenday, in concert the drummer burned his drum set to the ground. They also ended up in their underwear and had fans come up in stage and play metallica songs with them. They were soooooo stoned. It was a great outdoor show.
That is all.

Rush
R 30 DVD/CD Box set my brother got me for my birthday. Embarrassingly, there is stuff these three men created that I had almost forgotten about.
Then, one night I was road trippin with my brother to one of his gigs in Virginia and he pops a disk in....."Guess what this is...." and Subdivisions comes on....
Right now I cant remember the album title but, Analog Kid, Digital Man, Chemistry, The Weapon....I was just fucking dumbstruck that I had forgotten about these songs.
You probably don't get the Trailer Park Boyz in the States(one of the funniest shows EVER btw) but you gotta see the episiode where Ricky kidnaps Alex Lifeson. I've rarely laughed so hard in recent memory.

German band, some might say that Rammstein sounds like them but I´m not one of them. Oomph is older than Rammstein and Rammstein has said that without Oomph they wouldn´t excist. You can hear their music in their official site

I love their show I saw GD live in 1995 (and that´s LONG TIME AGO!) here in Finland and boy it was great. Nothing like that what Gnappy said but goooood! And I saw them play in Woodstock II (via TV of course)
I saw Green Day in D.C. at the HFStival (outdoor show at RFK stadium) in like 1999 or so and they burned the drum kit while Billy Joe sang Good Riddance to end the show. They also had someone from the crowd play the guitar with them for a song. It was a great show!

Yeah I saw GD around 98 or so. I don't remember for sure. 1994-2000 is pretty much a blur

I wish I could see them again but I have a strange feeling that they will not come here again hmm, 1994 I was 13 year old little angel, 2000 I was 19 year old angel with horns
hey, how many of you know HIM? (and I don´t mean you like the band but do you know it )

Yeah, thats very true
Yeah I have seen Greenday twice now. Once was just after Dookie was released, I was still in school and they were still punk. They played this tiny place called Roundhouse Bar at Sydney Uni and it fucking rocked... the second time was only 18 months ago and they played a stadium in Sydney... what a difference a decade can make!
I know! I still like AC/DC but I always appreciate a band who pregresses their sound with each new album. U2, Chili Peppers, Stones, Metallica have all done this and are better for it. Some hardcore fans don't like when bands change their sound but I dig it.

yep! And even that the sound is a bit different you can still tell it´s U2 etc. I would be very bored if my fav band wouldn´t develope at all and sound just the same year after year...I think that if something like that would happened the band wouldn´t be my fav band for long

Yeah I like progressive bands too... I don't like progressive fans though. What I mean is that all these pop people jump on the Greenday bandwagon and think they are punk rock?

Maybe GD was punk when they started, first two albums were kind of punk but I don´t that that Dookie is, or any other album after that. I think that punk is something like Misfits etc. And i don´t like fans like that either...that´s why I have never thought that I was somehow punk Punkpop? Maybe but I still like their music!!
