I was just thinking about RMM v.3.0 and the fact that brandon was supposed to have it done 9 months ago so I'm rehashing this old thread. That, and the fact that it is fuckin funny!

Wouldn't this just cause anarchy of biblical proportions???
It's in revelations people!!!
Seriously though think about all those innane, pointless and duplicated threads we would have to get up and running again!
I had a thought and possible programming solution to something that drives a few of us nuts around here. Is it possible that when a user goes to create a new thread have the search function initiate and automatically show all possible matches and see if the user would prefer to post in one of those threads. It may keep a lot of the duplicate threads from getting started in the first place, especially since there are a lot of lazy members.

I have absolutely no knowledge on computer programming / web hosting / whatever the fuck it is people do online but your idea has weight. I'd support it 100% without reservation if it could be done but I doubt it could? I am not sure?

Although my own programming experience is lacking, it shouldn't be too difficult to redirect the link when one clicks on the "post topic" tag to automatically perform a search with the information in the "topic title" and return the results just prior to posting the new thread.
