We actually have a ghost in my apt. I have been touched by him and so have some of our friends. We see flashes throughout the apt and doors open and close by themselves. I have seen with my own eyes my daughters toys move by themselves on her bedroom floor. I believe its a man because my daughter says it is. She has told me "He already died" and when I ask her who? she will point at a certain place and tell me to look. Then she says "He already died" again. Obviously I cant see anything there but she does. She tells me there are "Aars" in our house. Thats what she calls things that scare her. (I.E. monsters, crocodiles, anything scary etc.) Sometimes we can even hear a man talking faintly in the bedroom. I guess he's friendly though becuase nothing bad has happened. The crazy thing is that none of this started until I got pregnant with my son and its gotten more frequent since he was born. So yea, to answer the question, I believe in ghosts.

That is the number of seconds it would take me to get the fuck outof there! :o

I've never really seen a ghost or anything, but the house my wife grew up in was a lil weird and her parents lived there until a couple years ago so I spent a lot of time there. It was built in 1913 so it was pretty old. Anyway, I never heard anything about the place but when we were first dating, when we visited I would stay in her brother's room alone(her dad was a hardass back then and we couldn't sleep together hehe). Whenever I slept in there I would always have these nightmares, one time even shooting straight out of bed. And in my adult life, other than that, I've never had nightmares. And it was only when sleeping in that room. Her brother who has always slept in there is still scared of the dark at 22 haha. And there are other odd happenings from that house I heard about later. Nothing really spectacular but unexplained none the less.

Interesting topic.

I believe in ghosts. My first encounter was the night that my brother was born. I went to my grandparents to spend the night for the first time and slept in my aunt's old bedroom (she had been killed by a drunk driver). She sat in a corner on a chair and watched me all night. I also believe that my father is with me almost all the time as a guardian angel. He was also killed in a car accident.

I vaguely saw my aunt, I was very young about 6 and never met her before. I'd only ever been with my father 1 time when I was about 2. But there are times that I can kind of just tell he's around. I always get goosebumps when talking about it or watching something on tv. A very good television program to watch is called Ghosthunters. It's about a group in Maine (I think) that travels around and they set up all kinds of equipment while they spend the night in "haunted" places. Their goal is to try and debunk ghosts and find explanations for the things the residents think are ghosts.

yes we have watched it on cable tv ? we have most haunted here in the uk and it is a good programme and they even do live events which is good.you never ever get to see a ghost but only orbs and there is always stuff being thrown.people say it is a set up,but everyone is entitled to there views.but i believe that ghosts are clever and this is why you cant see them ?

No I dont mind. Ive had other encounters with the paranormal. They dont scare me and like I said, nothing bad has happened so its fine. Now if bad things were to start happening or if it started to make my daughter upset then I would move.

nothing major. just things in different places and such. i'll explain more when I have time.
nightmares? I can't remember what most were about except one. I was walking around my nighbourhood and this blackness kept enveloping everything, like a thick black ooze was being dripping on things as I walked by from above, completely smothering them. That dream wasn't especially jarring like the others, but it's the only one I remember.

sorry to derail the thread but that reminds me of the Eddie Murphy bit:
"I was watching Poltergeist last month.
I got a question.
Why don't white people just leave the house
when there's a ghost in the house ?
Y'all stay in the house too fuckin' long.
Get the fuck out of the house !
Very simple: If there's a ghost
in the house, get the fuck out !
And not only did they stay in the house
with the poltergeist, they invite more people over !
Sitting around going: "Our daughter Carroll-Ann's
in the television set."
I would have been gone.
If I had a daughter, went down to the precinct and say
"Look man, I went home my fucking daughter's in the
t.v. set and I just fucking left."
You can have all this, I ain't going back
to the motherfucker.
I just came down so when she ain't at the school
you don't think I killed the bitch or anything like that.
But she is inside the tv set you can have
all that shit. Thank you.
"Mr. Murphy didn't you try to save your daughter?"
Yeah, I'm a man, see I tried to save her
I turned the channels the shit didn't work.
I got the fuck out.
The kid was only 6 years old in the movie,
they couldn't have been to attached to her.
In the amityville horror the ghost
told them to get out of the house.
White people stayed in there. Now that's a hint
and a half for your ass.
A ghost say get the fuck out, I
would just tip the fuck out the door!
Lou Walker looked in the toilet bowl, the're was
blood in the toilet.
And said, "That's peculiar."
I would 've been in the house saying:
"Oh baby this is beautiful."
"We got a chandelier hanging up here, kids
outside playing. Its a beautiful neighbourhood."
"We ain't got nuttin to worry,
I really love it this is really nice."
"GET OUT !"
"Too bad we can't stay, baby !"

If I had any encounter whatsoever with anything paranormal I will believe it, otherwise I'll reserve my judgement.

Maybe it's just they way it's televised but the only people to go on shows about paranormal activity etc are pathetic weird ass losers

I have never seen a ghost yet but I knew My mom's old house was haunted . She saw the dude and so had my brothers wife. It was something about the hallway that connect the two main bedrooms. My brother's wife siad she had seen the dude peek around the corner and open doors. Mom said the same. Im a big dude and when I would walk from the other end of the hall into the main living room it felt like someone was chasing me so I would break out into a sprint and try and make it to the living room like a big god damned chicken. So I have never seen a ghost but I have felt a presense....

On a side note of ghosts... anyone ever messed with a ouija board?
