Alcohol and Violence are common place in every form of media but sex is like THE cardinal sin or something... I mean, I get dirty looks from people when I tell them I work at Victoria's Secret and they think I work in some sex shop.
We have this strip club here that's 18 and up that I have been to a few times. It's nice because the girls dancing definetly give more attention to the women in the audience!!
Anyways... this club has a 21 and up counterpart and I'm looking forward to going there and participating in amateur night... I mite just have to start drinking that night to get me some liquid courage

Say have you seen that show Californication? It just hit the screens here and I love it. SOme christian groups opposed the whole nun giving head scene but all in all it's been well received despite its shock value. How has a show like that been received in the states?

DD is the perfect actor for that role, too. He does a great job at that apathetic demeanor and the write his manipulation of his broad vocabulary is dead on!!!
I hope the show stays strong, but I'm nervous that after the sex shock value dies down the show will nosedive due to lack of substance. I also think as his character develops, they will be forced to write him as more compassionate and likeable, which will completely kill what his character was all about in the first 2 and a half eps.

It is a trend now here too that Pay TV or Cable TV produces funnier, edgier, more likeable shows than mainstream free to air. There's a reason; Cesnorship! The major networks are frightened to produce something themselves out of fear it isn't mainstream, won't rate and therefore won't attract advertising, whereas Cable does not have those worries.

I think we're about at the same point in teh series. I think they just aired No 5... the one where he visits Mia's classroom for one small fee of a brown jacket. The previews for the next show don't seem all the gripping to me, but I'll just have to wait and see. I still look forward to the show and have my DVR set to record the series. I watch the first ep every once in a while... there were tits galore in that one.
