Hey RMM, after visting the site for a long time I decided to get off my butt and become a more active member of the community.

Here's the details. My name is Jeff and I'm 22. I currently live in the suburbs of Detroit. I am a colossal dork and damn proud of it. Any kind of sterotypical 'geek' pastime you can think of, I probably have a level of interest in. By far though my biggest hobby would be video games. This includes playing them and following the industry.

Right now I work both the electronics section (figures for a guy like me) and the photo lab. I've been there for a few years, and thus whenever I'm eyeing a picture nowadays I find myself checking out lighting, perspective, color, contrast, ect. in addition to just the subject matter. So ladies, if you see me commenting on your picture I will try to keep the slobbering to a minimum and give you some constructive criticism on your shots.

I guess I won't bore you with any more so see you on the boards.

Welcome to the boards mate.

If I can offer you any advice it is too read the FAQs before you post too much more, it'll give you a basic rundown of the boards, the rules etc! Other than that if you have any questions ask myself, Gnappster or Comedyman.

Be nice to the ladies and brush up on your simpsons knowledge. Having read your above "geekyness" you probably won't nned much of a refresher

Out of the Playstation, Nintento, and Xbox camp I'd have to say that the Xbox tops my list. There are simply more games on the system that appeal to me and I really enjoy playing online too. Although, my DS has been grabbing a lot more of my attention as of late.

Well, going off of my own definitions of those cultural subsets I'd have to say I'm a geek. When I think of a nerd, I picture the D&D player. Kind of old school in his interests. A geek to me is more of the high tech variant. I love reading up on new technologies and am an avid tech whore. I've scrimped my meager funds though my life and have a pretty kick ass home theater setup right now. 30' Samsung CRT HD TV, Onkyo 800W 5.1 Surround Sound, Xbox 360, and all the other ammentities to go with such a setup.
