I thought I'd expound on my post cuz I'm bored and I'm avoiding working.
I remember that one to grow on thing from Saturday morning cartoons back when cartoons were good. they usually had some lame ass life lesson in there. I don't remember many of them. I do think there was one involving bullies and someone was hiding in a tree. or maybe I have that one totally fucked up. I do remember, though, that when it started there was an animated thing to set it all up. There was a part where a boy and girl are fighting over a ball and you hear "I want the ball." I'll find myself saying that every once in a while but am always faced with an audience who has no idea why I said that in such a whiney voice.
i should have known that the Canadian bobaloo would be familiar with such an obscure part of my childhood that just won't let go of my conscious mind.

the one to grow on segments were not really cartoon shows. They were just thrown in during a commercial break here and there. the entire segment probably lasted about 1 minute.

LMAO, I know, but not from experience... then how do you know? I love how the girl stands up for herself and all of a sudden the 2 smoking girls reflect on their actions haha, as if that happens in reality!

Like I've said before, I remember more about the 80s than I do about last week. Something about excessive alcohol consumption.
Pay's remark reminded me of some PSA I couldn't quite put my finger on at first. Then I thought "One to Grown On"!

Watching that opening clip flooded my nostalgic senses. I totally remember that weird montage of vacuum to ice cream sundae to pig faced kid.

haha exactly. In real life it the other two probably would have said, "Now let's go get wasted out in the parking lot". Well that's what I would have said.

Sad but true. There is no need for Sat. Morning Cartoons anymore since cartoons are on 24 hours a day.

I was at the library and saw Battle of the Planets on dvd and my eyes almost popped out of my head. I used to LOVE that show. I think it had some other name in Japan and even a second name in North America, but usually no one knows what I'm talking about. When I was checking it out, they asked, "Oh is this for your son(who was with me). I said, "Uhhhh, yeaaaah".
