OK, I managed to learn enough programming myself that I got some annoying things about the site fixed up.

1. Better explained the deal for uploading pics, now a clear explanation of what pics qualify for making it on the melons list and what goes in the profile pics.

2. That annoying "cratitbrowserapp:" erro when you click a pick that is approved but not yet posted is finally fucking gone! I replaced it with a nice little explanation.

3. Other stuff that you prolly won't notice but I do on my end.

now that that is done, I am thinking of ways to make this site pull it's weight money wise, it's close to breaking even each month, but I need it to generate some serious cash so I can hire a big programming crew to pickup on RMM version 3.0 where the last batch of programmers that quit and took my money left off.

My ideas, none are written in stone, and I may do one, a combo of em or none.

1. To generate a little cabbage and to take care of the ton of Private Message crap the girls get from members who are annoying, charge $25 a YEAR to use the private message system. Since it sucks to have to pay for shit, you'll get a T-shirt when you signup. I know alot of u will say you don't have a credit card, but I will make it so you can use checks, paypal, charge by phone etc..

2. Create a Ratemymelons paysite, like some of the other big paysites out there. The site will have 1000's of pro-amateur and pro pics and videos, I'm talking alot, plus porn feeds and all kinds of other stuff.

3. When registering for an account you automatically get signed up for a free dating site profile like Adultfriendfinder or sex search. If you never used one of these dating sites, basically you make a profile free on them, but then when it comes to contacting THEIR members you have to whip out a credit card to upgrade to a full membership. I don't care if you upgrade or not cause I get paid per profile.

4. if none of these things work I will have to get sneakier with the advertising links and add some more annoying banners.

I agree with Ratt. As much as I hate banner ads, they are much better than a pay site. My bet is that anything you charge for, will not be used.

I realize more then some the need for capital , however I think a pay site will lose you numbers , or at least the portions that you make pay will not be used ... just my .02 ..

I agree with those that have posted so their views so far. I urge you not to make this a paysite. Online porn is a lot like sex, why pay for it when, if you apply yourself, you can get it for free!

I dont mind the PM charges as I just wont use it... either that or stack some more advertising here. I just dont dig the idea of paying to post wisecracks here haha

well first of all, the only thing that would require a "I support RMM" subscription would be to click "private message" on the pic pages on the main list, not here. you can still post comments free.

The "paysite" would be in addition to what is already here, not instead of it.

This place comes close to breaking even? I'm shocked.

As for the ideas, the signing up for the date site is OK with me since that's as far as I'll ever go with it and it's free.

The added paysite might be OK too for some extra revenue.

Just don't change things around hee like the message board too much.

Even if you got one in every 5 or 10 checking out the added paysite you'd be pulling in some coin...

exactly, it would prolly be more like 1:200 clicking and looking and then 1:1000 of those checking it out buying.

The idea would be to make a site actually worth it for even the tightest cheapskate to consider whipping out a credit card to check out.

But even 1:1000 is not bad. I don't know the stats for this place but I'm sure visitor traffic is pretty high everyday.

What about this: Anyone who joins the first 100 posts costs five bucks, the second hundred, a couple of bucks, then after that it's free the way it is now. It would seem the people who have a little invested in the site with money and effort would more than likely stick around. It might cut down on the impostor crap that periodically seems to plague RMM. Maybe just outright sell t-shirts. "I got my tits rated on RMM"

if you charge for people to sign up on the message boards, the message boards will die! Can you imagine missing out on hot fresh boobs because of $5??? The only way to generate more revenue on a site like this is to stick it to the man, meaning charge for advertising... whether it be clicking on other links or just posting banners. pretty much everyone here who stumbles upon any type of pay site will stumble right off after the free tour. Besides, people who pay for a porn site membership are a completely different type of wacko than we're used to here
